When you travel, it may be that your schedule is such, that you might not eat as you should.

You might be skipping meals, relying too often on fast food and other snacks to keep you going. A recipe for disaster.

You are also exposed to no end of bacteria.

And situations and climatic variations that we are not accustomed to can affect us more than we think.

You may not always have access to medicines, much less antibiotics, or it turns out that you are allergic to them or suffer from unpleasant side effects when consuming them.

This is where the importance of staying healthy arises and learning how to naturally strengthen our immune system.

For example, knowing that some foods have antibacterial properties and that some are even natural antibiotics, which do not generate resistance from bacteria, that can stimulate natural elimination mechanisms, boost the functioning of organs, inhibit the growth of pathogenic germs and increase the body’s defences, while synthetic antibiotics tend to lower them.

Here I give you an example of some natural antibiotics, which also have many other vitamin properties and that I am sure you can get anywhere in the world; garlic, onion, ginger and cider vinegar.

These 4 products can also help you in typical cases of infections or stomach and respiratory discomforts, headaches, insect bites and allergies, among others.

Garlic:

A powerful broad-spectrum antibiotic (and very cheap), which helps to combat and prevent viral and bacterial diseases, strengthen the immune system, does not alter the pH of the intestinal flora, also has antiseptic and antiparasitic properties, stimulates the nervous system, helps the purification of lungs and bronchi, prevents heart problems, can be used as an antidote in case of poisoning, repellent and among many other things.

For greater effectiveness consume it raw. Cut a clove of garlic into small pieces and swallow, 3 times a day as a preventive, or increase the dose if you have a strong infection.

It can also be consumed in infusions. For insect bites, it is recommended to cut a clove of garlic and rub it directly on the bite.

Onion:

An excellent antibiotic to fight infections and bacteria. It is a diuretic, expectorant and fungicide, it helps fight depression, respiratory and skin diseases. It can be useful to reduce inflammation, treat asthma and strengthen the immune system. It can be consumed raw, or in combined infusions and its skin can be used to stop bleeding and promote healing

Ginger:

Another antibiotic that favours our health, with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that helps fight oral, respiratory, stomach and intestinal infections, reduces nausea, dizziness and blood sugar levels, stimulates circulation and facilitates digestion. It can be consumed, in juices combined with other fruit.

The best way is to add grated or crushed ginger to boiling water and drink it. Do not boil the water with the ginger in it directly.

Cider Vinegar or White Vinegar:

This is a great product that also has antibiotic and antiseptic properties, which relieves and protects diseases and fungal infections, both on the skin and internally, calms pain from burns and heartburn, eliminates bad body odours and as a repellent. You can also use it to clean surfaces for preparing food.

Dilute it with water for gargling or applying it directly to infected areas of the skin with a cloth.

It is important to mention that each organism acts differently and that these being natural products, their effectiveness is slower than that of a drug but more effective in the long term.
